Lauren and Stephen were two of the most fun-loving couples we have ever had the pleasure of working with. Their group of bridesmaids and groomsmen kept us laughing throughout the entire day, which made being a part of their wedding that much more fun. They had both the ceremony and reception at Union Station, which made it easy for Scoobie from Scoobie’s Photographic Images and John from John Jordan Films to capture each and every moment from this fun-filled day.
Lauren and Stephen had their “first look” photos taken outside on the patio of Union Station, and Scoobie did a great job documenting such an emotional and beautiful moment. After their “first look” photos, the wedding party stepped in for a few group shots before the ceremony started. The groomsmen especially had a fun time with this photo shoot as they posed with their American themed jerseys and matching American flag socks, which Stephen gifted them. Stephen and his groomsmen wanted to sport the American flag not only because they love America, but also because Stephen and several groomsmen are active members of the Navy.
Instead of carrying a typical floral bridal bouquet, Lauren carried a unique pendant bouquet comprised of various charms, each with a special meaning. Lauren walked arm in arm with her father down the aisle as Jan Mackrall played melodious Disney songs on the piano. Lauren wanted to tie this Disney theme into to her wedding day because the couple met at Disneyworld! The ceremony was extra special because Stephen’s sister officiated the ceremony and pronounced Lauren and Stephen as Mr. and Mrs.! After the ceremony, guests mingled and sipped on cocktails while our team flipped the indoor space at Union Station to prep for the seated dinner and reception. Before guests enjoyed a delicious dinner, Lauren and Stephen shared their first dance to “Married Life.” Once dinner was finished, Lauren and Stephen cut into their cakes.
After guests sampled sweets, it was time to dance! Nashville Party Authority kept everyone on their feet – the wedding party took over the dance floor as they danced the electric slide and did the wobble, and the groomsmen definitely stole the show in their matching USA jerseys. Another unique feature of the wedding was a photobooth with endless costumes and backdrops from around the world for guests to enjoy. Before the night was over, guests left encouraging words on postcards and placed them in a vintage suitcase for Lauren and Stephen to later read. On their way out, guests were given moon pies and drinks, in addition to tubes of bubbles to blow as the couple made their grand exit from Union Station.
