I can’t believe last month was the one-year anniversary of this favorite couple of ours! While each wedding that we have the privilege of planning is much awaited, the excitement of our team was a bit higher for the May wedding of Rachel and Rhett. Why? Rachel is not only a Stunning Events Bride, but also a Stunning Events Assistant! She started as an intern three years ago, and has been working at weddings ever since. Finally, it was Rachel’s turn to wear white, and we could not wait to make her wedding day special! Rachel and Rhett began their day with their bridesmaids and groomsmen, getting primped and excited for their wedding. Rachel and Rhett’s wedding was our first at Front Porch Farms, a quaint and picturesque venue located in Charlotte, Tennessee, just outside of Nashville. We were so impressed by the gardens and amenities at Front Porch Farms; numerous in-house vintage rentals made Rachel’s vision a reality. Rachel and Rhett had their “first look” in the same place where their ceremony would take place a few hours later. Ulmer Studios caught the reactions of the bride and groom on film, as well as all of the other events of the day. Rachel picked out different dresses for each of her bridesmaids, and even though they were all so different, they went together beautifully! Fresh by Carry Ann provided all of the wedding party’s personal flowers. Though we were crossing our fingers all day that it wouldn’t start raining, the clouds cleared and the sun even came out for their evening ceremony in the garden. This moment was years in the making for Rachel and Rhett… they were high school sweethearts and have been dating since they were fifteen! After the ceremony, guests gathered around the pool and enjoyed lemonade and Arnold Palmers, Rachel’s favorite! Later, the bride and groom made their grand entrance into the reception space and shared their first dance to Joshua Radio’s “You Got What I Need.” Beyond Details catered a delicious buffet dinner of panne chicken, pork with raspberry chutney, and bacon wrapped green beans. Rachel and Rhett’s gorgeous cake was from The Bake Shoppe, but that wasn’t all the dessert that they served! Their families made miniature cheesecakes and a golf-themed grooms cake that everyone loved. The Randy McLellan Band kept everyone busy dancing, playing a fun mix of old and new songs. Rachel, Rhett, and their wedding party snuck away to release paper lanterns during their reception, which was such a beautiful way to end the night! The couple then made their exit while guests each folded paper airplanes to throw as they left. We love you Rachel and are so happy to have witnessed the start of your marriage to Rhett!
